Fairhope, AL – Over 500 humans and 260 mutts took over the streets of Fairhope recently for the 12th annual Mystic Mutts of Revelry Parade (MMOR). Everyone stepped up to the “Superheroes to the Rescue” theme, and raised a record amount for homeless animals. “This year’s parade brought in a 97% increase in profit compared to all previous MMOR parades,” said MMOR Chairperson, Jenny Williams of Baldwin County Sewer Service.
The weather was perfect, and people lined the parade route anxiously awaiting four- and two-legged superheroes. “The committee and I, alongside The Haven, worked very hard to make the event enjoyable for everyone,” said Williams. “In addition, we wanted to raise as much as possible to help all of the homeless cats and dogs.” Organizations who were part of that success include Presenting Sponsor – Fairhope Title Services, LLC; Gold Sponsors – Aging in Alabama, Baldwin County Sewer Service, City of Fairhope, Faulkner State Community College, McSharry’s Irish Pub, Miller’s Grand Events, Simply Signs, Southern Edge Photography, Tameron Honda; Silver Sponsors – Gwin’s Commercial Printing, Identity Signs, True Marketing & Creative, Subway, Womble Enterprises LLC; Bronze Sponsors – Fairhope Realty Group, Go Play Pet Services, Henry Electronics, Rick’s Gun and Pawn Shop, Spring Hill College, and Tydall Federal Credit Union.
“I’m grateful to these wonderful organizations that helped sponsor the event, as well as the volunteers and participants,” said Williams. “I plan to continue helping make this fundraiser bigger and better every year. See you in 2016!”
