Baldwin County Sewer Service Introduces Ornament Decorating Contest for Local Students.

Baldwin County Sewer Service (BCSS) is excited to announce a new contest for Baldwin County children in grades K-8 to submit handmade Christmas ornaments for a chance to win prizes for themselves and for their schools. To be eligible for the contest, ornaments must follow all contest rules that are listed on the entry form and on BCSS’ website. Ornaments must arrive at the BCSS office by December 1, 2015 to be judged by BCSS employees. The primary requirement is that the ornaments should incorporate the water drop from the BCSS logo or the BCSS mascot, Crystal Clean. All ornaments will be displayed on a BCSS Christmas tree at Foley Heritage Park and inside The Blake at Malbis, from December 2-December 30, 2015.

BCSS Marketing Director Jenny Williams explains the thought behind the contest. “Our company is fortunate to offer services throughout Baldwin County, and in turn, we like to give back to communities in all areas of the county. This ornament decorating contest is a great way for children of various ages to get into the holiday spirit and use their creativity for pieces that will be showcased for many people to admire. We hope that students and schools will have fun with the project and even enjoy a little friendly competition,” she says.

A winner will be chosen from each age group and awarded $100 each: Grades K-2, 3-5, and 6-8. Each winner’s school will be awarded $500 to be used as needed. Since ornaments will be chosen anonymously, one school could have more than one winner, so one school can receive up to $1,500. Complete details and instructions, including ornament drop off locations are available at www.baldwincountysewer.com/ornament-contest.
